Wilma ten Wolde is director of Vocaal Talent Nederland and artistic director of the National Children’s Choir, the National Women’s Youth Choir and the National Mixed Youth Choir.

With the National Choirs, she has prepared more than 70 different productions for orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and the Berliner Philharmoniker, under the baton of conductors such as Iván Fischer, Mariss Jansons, Sir Simon Rattle, Bernard Haitink, Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Jordi Savall.

In 2019, Wilma was appointed Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau for her work in stimulating classical singing for children, youth and young people in the Netherlands. Under her leadership, the National Choirs have developed into a national institute that ranks among the world’s best, in the field of choral training and musical performance.

Wilma has taught masterclasses in Sweden, Denmark, Spain, France, Germany and Hungary. She works closely with the Danish professor Inge Marstal on the development of musical ear training in children. Wilma has taught at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague in the fields of solfeggio and ensemble singing.
